Our School Garden
We have been busy in the school garden planting and taking care of what we planted earlier in the year. As you can see - lots of happy faces to be out of the classroom for a little bit.

We started our school garden a number of years ago. Martin made four raised beds for us and Des McNicholas brought us the topsoil. That year Junior and senior infants planted sunflowers, onions and carrots. Ms Hall's class planted onions and carrots and Mr Bracken's class planted potatoes, onions, carrots and lettuce. It is great to watch the vegetables grow and we enjoyed eating them later on in the year.
Our garden has since come on very well, when weather allows it we like to tend to it and plant seeds and watch them grow. It is a very nice and peaceful place to be and we like it very much.
