Deirdre came to Scoil Íosa back in the early 90s, when she started to teach first and second class. Some years later she moved to the junior room, where she taught junior and senior infants. 

Any child or parent who met Deirdre was instantly put at ease. 

The children all through the years loved her dearly and her gentle, kind nature.

Deirdre was loved among her colleagues, old and new, and her presence will be forever missed in Scoil Íosa.

Deirdre passed away much too early in December of 2025, but she leaves a legacy of beautiful memories behind her.
